Standard and Custom Curtain Solutions

Our standard laser safety curtains are the best solution for immediate laser protection. Standard sizes can be pieced together for larger coverage. Easily connect multiple curtains together with hook and loop fasteners to build a curtain that fits your needs. For more elaborate protection, design custom curtains to fit your laser environment.

Curtain materials withstand direct and scattered laser light generated by Class 3B or 4 lasers as specified in ANSI: Z 136.1 – Section 4.4.2.5. The material is flame-resistant, passing requirements in accordance with NFPA Standard Number 701.

All our laser curtains are built in-house. We guarantee the quality of each laser curtain.

We can custom build this portable framed barrier wall with strong, anodized steel hardware, locking casters, and laser rated-material (laser protection up to 575 W/cm2). An excellent protection option in a small laser environment.

Thorlabs offers multiple laser safety curtain and accessories.

Our laser safety curtain system attaches to floors, walls, and ceilings and imparts the ability to fully customize a system to fit most lab spaces through simple assembly of a variety of components.

Pre-configured laser safety curtain kits, which mount to Thorlabs’ Nexus™ Optical Table Frames or Free-Standing Overhead Shelving Units, are also available. Laser safety fabric, which is made of the same material as Thorlabs’ laser safety curtains, is available for custom door and window coverings or for constructing custom system enclosures.

Foldable Laser Safety Panels

Laservision designs foldable laser safety panels with versatility in mind. These systems have unique 360° hinges that allow you to move and position your barrier according to your needs. It’s easy to store and takes up less space than most barrier systems. Choose from one of our standard products below, or design a barrier system specific to your laser application.

All foldable panels are made with materials that have a laser safety rating of up to 2,500 W/cm2 for 100 seconds. Made to withstand direct and diffusely scattered laser light generated by Class 3B or 4 lasers as specified with ANSI: Z 136.1 – Section 4.4.2.5.
